In Year Applications

Academic Year 2024/2025
If you would like your child to be added to our Waiting List, please follow the steps below:

Nursery/School In-Year Application Procedure
You will need to:

Complete an In-Year Application Form (either Nursery or School)

Ask your Parish Priest to complete the Certificate of Catholic Practice.

Return the above forms together with a copy of your child's Baptism Certificate (if applicable) to Mrs Streeter, St Margaret Clitherow RC Primary School, Monkswood Lane, Stevenage SG2 8QJ either by post or by hand.

Once the documents have been received, your child's name will be placed on our Waiting List.

The Waiting List will be maintained by the Governing Body in the order of the oversubscription criteria and not in the order in which the applications are received. Parents will be notified of the outcome of their application once the application has been received. If there are no spaces available, parents will be informed that their application will be placed on our Waiting List. The Local Authority will be notified of the outcome of an application within 2 days.

Nursery Applications

Nursery Applications for 2025 - 2026
(Children born between 1st September 2021 and 31st August 2022)

Applications for St. Margaret Clitherow Catholic PrimarySchool Nursery, to start in September 2025, will open on 1st September 2024.

The school welcomes applications from anyone who is willing to support our ethos and help promote an inclusive environment. Although we prioritise Catholic families, in the past four years we have managed to admit non catholic children in our nursery class. You must complete the school’s Supplementary Information Form (SIF) together with submission of other supporting documents to have a complete application. Paper copies will be available from the school.

-  Application open:  1st September 2024
-  Applications close:  22nd November 2024
-  Offer date:  6th December 2024
-  Accept your place by:  7th January 2025
-  Continued interest list opens:  8th January 2025

Reception Applications

Applications for St Margaret Clitherow Catholic Primary School Reception, to start in September 2025, will open on Wednesday 1st November (TBC).

Apply online from:   1st November 2023
Application deadline:   15th January 2024
Allocation day:   16th April 2024
Accept your place online by:   3rd May 2024

Parents must apply online at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/admissions as well as completing the school’s Supplementary Information Form (SIF). Paper copies will be available from the school office from Wednesday 1st November 2023 and electronic copies are available below.
