St Margaret Clitherow

RC Primary School, Stevenage

Jesus is our guide, let us follow Him

Our Learning at St. Margaret Clitherow

We provide a curriculum that is broad, balanced, relevant and responsive to the needs of all pupils, the wider community and the society in which they operate. Our curriculum, underpinned by our Catholic ethos and school values, is responsive to the needs of all pupils, regardless of ability or background, and develops essential knowledge, skills and independence. We recognise the challenges our school community has faced over the last two years and as such, we have made adaptations to our curriculum to ensure our post COVID-19 priorities are at the heart of everything we do.

The School follows the National Curriculum as revised in 2014. Please refer to class pages to see an overview of the curriculum for each year group. As a School we teach reading using Synthetic phonics and in the EYFS and KS1 we make use of Collins Big Cat as our main reading scheme. Please contact the Headteacher for further details of the curriculum.
